After completion of each module which takes about 7 to 10 days average, you have to ask for the next module. There is no fixed timing for asking for the modules, and you can complete the course at your own schedule. The curse takes from 3 to 5 months to complete.
You are encouraged to post your cases on the course whatsapp group, ask for your doubts and share your results.
Certification is granted on completion of the certificate. IAOS is approved by the Tamil Nadu Medical council to conduct CME programmes vide Accreditation Number: C0270 on 06 Feb, 2025 Valid till 5th February 2030.

Hard bound book latest edition in two volumes shall be sent on beginning of the course.

There are essentially two approaches to fracture management. The mechanistic “Carpenter’s approach” focusses more on anatomical alignment, and aims at perfection in radiological images.
The biological “Gardener’s approach” on the other hand, concentrates solely on the eventual functional outcome with less emphasis on the radiographs.
Though a difficult art, non operative fracture management produces surprisingly excellent results, while avoiding the risks of anaesthesia, surgery, metal in body, scar, and need for second surgery for metal exit.
In addition biological methods seldom have the dreaded complication of iatrogenic osteomyelitis with pouring pus, repeated surgeries and an occasional amputation, that surgery may be associated with.
For all courses, you must be a qualified medical practitioner registered and licensed to practice, with your locally applicable medical council in your state or country.
Certification from Indian Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons at the end of the course is not in itself a licence to practice fracture management. You must be registered with your local or national licentiate authority to do the same.
